    ‘Captain America: New World Order’ Set Photos Reveal Liv Tyler’s MCU Return

    It was recently announced that Liv Tyler would reprise her Incredible Hulk role Betty Ross for Captain America: New World Order. Now brand-new set photos actually reveal Tyler on the set of the highly-anticipated sequel.

    This is an exciting time for Marvel fans. Betty Ross is a character that hasn’t been utilized since the 2008 Hulk film. As such, this is our first time to catch up with the character, and how exactly she fits into the universe at this point. After all, a lot has changed since that second MCU outing was released.

    Now, as you can see below via JustJared, the first Captain America: New World Order set photos featuring Liv Tyler have arrived. Tyler is spotted alongside fellow cast members Anthony Mackie, Xosha Roquemore, and Shira Haas as they attend a funeral. Furthermore, Anthony Mackie has his left arm in a sling, which foreshadows an injury that his character Sam Wilson will suffer at some point. It also suggests that this scene could take place closer to the end of the film – though it’s possible that it could happen earlier as well.

    It’s worth noting that Tyler’s character, Betty Ross, is the daughter of General Thunderbolt Ross. He was previously played by the late William Hurt, with actor Harrison Ford taking over the role for this upcoming installment.

    Captain America: New World Order is directed by Julius Onah. The screenplay was written by Dalan Musson and Malcolm Spellman. Meanwhile, Spellman will also produce the film alongside Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige.

    The film stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, Shira Haas as Sabra, Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres, and Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley. The Incredible Hulk actor Tim Blake Nelson will reprise his role as The Leader for the film.
