Marvel actor Jonathan Majors was recently arrested for assault. Now his lawyer claims that there is evidence to prove Jonathan Majors is “completely innocent” of the alleged crime.
Additionally, as noted via THR, Majors’ lawyer claims that he’s “provably the victim” in this situation. She continued to discuss their efforts in compiling evidence that will support Majors and have “all charges” dropped.
Here’s what criminal defense lawyer Priya Chaudhry included in her statement regarding the evidence in support of Jonathan Majors:
“Jonathan Majors is completely innocent and is provably the victim of an altercation with a woman he knows,” she began. “We are quickly gathering and presenting evidence to the District Attorney with the expectation that all charges will be dropped imminently.”
The aforementioned evidence includes video footage from the vehicle where the alleged event took place. There’s also witness testimony from both the driver and onlookers, with two written statements from the woman where she recants the allegations.
“All the evidence proves that Mr. Majors is entirely innocent and did not assault her whatsoever,” she said. “Unfortunately, this incident came about because this woman was having an emotional crisis, for which she was taken to a hospital yesterday. The NYPD is required to make an arrest in these situations, and this is the only reason Mr. Majors was arrested. We expect these charges to be dropped soon.”
The allegations began when Jonathan Majors was arrested for assault. The unnamed victim, a 30-year-old woman, is said to have a “domestic” relationship with Majors. She was taken to the hospital with “minor injuries to her head and neck.” It wasn’t long after that other allegations were being made against Majors on social media.
As such, we’ll have to see how this situation plays out. For now, it looks like Majors’ legal team is confident about their case. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates regarding the MCU actor as we have them.
