Fans were shocked when Marvel actor Jonathan Majors was arrested for assault. Now the Loki and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania actor is facing several other allegations in light of his arrest. The allegations against Jonathan Majors are being made via social media.
The arrest occurred after a 30-year-old woman claimed she was assaulted. Jonathan Majors was charged with strangulation, assault, and harassment. And while he has continued to deny these charges – the allegations are now piling up. For starters, filmmaker A.B. Allen confirmed on Twitter that the undisclosed actor he mentioned last month as being “a vicious, cruel, abusive human being, both professionally and in his personal life,” is indeed supposed to be Majors.
And while Allen has refused to provide any additional details, there are still other allegations against Jonathan Majors surfacing online. One such allegation comes from Society Theatre co-founder and Broadway actor/director Tim Nicolai. On a Twitter post, they noted that “folks at Yale and the broader NYC community have known about him for years. He’s a sociopath and abuser and that is how virtually everyone speaks about him.”
Nicolai also provided a reason for why the allegations are only now surfacing, explaining that “a victim [needed] to come forward.” He continued:
“A bunch of us are close with people (and sometimes multiple people) he has directly harmed…Literally people [Jonathan Majors] did this to are texting me right now. It’s not ‘I heard.'”
Of course, these allegations should be taken with a grain of salt. As mentioned, Jonathan Majors insists that he’s innocent, and so we’ll have to see how this situation continues to develop. But it certainly is an interesting situation given that Majors is one of the central parts for Marvel’s newest phase. His character Kang the Conqueror is expected to be the big bad in both film and television – so stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any updates as we have them.
