Up until its production, many fans wondered whether or not beloved characters Foggy Nelson and Karen Page would appear in Daredevil: Born Again. The production, however, confirmed that the characters were seemingly absent. Now a new Daredevil: Born Again set photo may reveal the reason why.
The photo, as you can see below, suggests that Daredevil: Born Again might actually take place during the MCU’s blip. Fans will recall that Thanos at one point snapped away half of the universe’s population. This lasted for five years beginning in 2018. And, naturally, it could be that Daredevil characters Foggy and Karen were both victims of this blip.
Of course, it hasn’t quite been confirmed that Foggy or Karen won’t be appearing at all. We just know that the original actors won’t be involved. It’s possible that they could have each been recast. But, if the characters will remain absent, then the blip theory seems to be the most likely explanation. It also leaves the door open for a potential return at a later point in time.
You can see the image below which would also imply that Daredevil survived the blip. As such, it’s reasonable to believe that the series will revolve around his life during this time period.

Hopefully we’ll have more details soon as production continues. For now, however, this is a promising theory which would place the events of Daredevil: Born Again in one of Marvel’s most interesting time periods. Especially considering how many fans have questioned Daredevil’s place in the continuity of the MCU.
The series Daredevil: Born Again stars Charlie Cox as Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin, and Jon Bernthal as The Punisher. Sandrine Holt will appear as Vanessa Fisk and Nikki M. James also appears as a yet-to-be-revealed character.
