The story of Dracula is being continued in the all-new film Renfield. The upcoming horror comedy has fans eager to see Nicholas Hoult’s take on Renfield in addition to Nicolas Cage as Count Dracula. Now, as you can see below, the final trailer for Renfield features new footage of Cage as the iconic character.
The first preview for the film kept Cage’s involvement rather vague. Now, however, the final Renfield trailer is switching things up by focusing much more heavily on Cage. Of course, the film is still mostly centered around the titular character and not so much Count Dracula. But it’s exciting to see how Cage is being used in any case.
Here’s the final trailer for Renfield:
It’s certainly an exciting glimpse at the film and what’s to come. Universal has tackled a number of different variations regarding their classic monster characters over the decades. Some of these variations have been more successful than others. For some fans, however, it looks like Renfield could be a brand-new success for the studio. Especially if this newly-released trailer is any indication. We’ll know for certain once the film hits theaters in April.
Renfield is directed by Chris McKay from a screenplay penned by Ryan Ridley and based on a story outline from The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman. Chris McKay and Robert Kirkman produce along with David Alpert, Bryan Furst and Sean Furst. Chris McKay’s producing partner, Samantha Nisenboim, is attached as executive producer.
The cast of the film includes Nicholas Hoult as the titular character, Nicolas Cage as Dracula, and Awkwafina as Rebecca Quincy. Renfield also includes Ben Schwartz, Adrian Martinez, Shohreh Aghdashloo, and Bess Rouss.
Fans will be able to see Renfield in theaters on April 14, 2023. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for additional updates on the highly-anticipated horror comedy as we have them.
