The hit animated sitcom The Simpsons is currently on its 34th season. As a special treat, however, it looks like an infamous character from the show’s first season will be making a return in an upcoming Simpsons episode.
Fans of the series will remember Jacques, a character introduced in the episode Life on the Fast Lane from the show’s first season. The episode was quite formative for the series as it placed Marge into a major situation. The French bowling instructor gradually seduces Marge as he teaches her to bowl.
It ultimately leads Marge into making a decision. She has to choose between an affair with Jacques or her marriage with Homer. Ultimately, she does choose her husband, and Jacques was no longer featured in such a capacity. Of course, he’s had a few non-speaking cameos in the years since, but now The Independent reports he’ll return in a big way.
“On Sunday (19 March), the character is set to return in a season 34 episode titled ‘Pin Girl‘.”
The upcoming episode Pin Girl is described as follows:
“A mysterious figure from Marge’s past returns to coach her for a bowling tournament.”
For fans that may have doubts – showrunner Al Jean does confirm that the “mysterious figure” is Jacques. And, furthermore, he’ll once again be voiced by Albert Brooks.

It’s a special occasion for any big time fan of The Simpsons to see this character back. Especially given that Al Brooks has voiced other characters in the series since. And, as mentioned, Jacques has had a few non-speaking appearances as well. But to see Brooks return after all these years to voice the character in yet another bowling episode: that will be exciting to see.
Fans can stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates on The Simpsons as we have them. For now, prior episodes of the series can be viewed on Disney Plus.
