A new selection of set photos from the ongoing production of Joker: Folie à Deux have surfaced online. Fans can now get a closer look at Lady Gaga in her role as Harley Quinn as she takes on the role in set photos for the highly-anticipated sequel otherwise known as Joker 2.
It’s an interesting time to see that Lady Gaga will now have the opportunity to play Harley Quinn. The previous – and first – live-action iteration of the character was played by Margot Robbie. Unlike her counterpart, the Joker, there has only been the one prior live-action take on Harley Quinn. Now we’ll get to see what director Todd Phillips and star Lady Gaga have in mind to further reinvent the character.
Of course, if the first Joker film taught us anything, then there’s no doubt more than meets the eye. Hopefully we’ll have additional looks at the character and how she might fit into the world of Joker in the near future. For now, however, these set photos are certainly enough to assure any anxious fans that we’ll be in for quite the treat.

Harley Quinn first originated as an original character in Batman: The Animated Series. She became so popular that it wasn’t long before she was reiterated for comic books, video games, and other animated projects. Since Margot Robbie’s portrayal in Suicide Squad, however, live-action takes on Harley Quinn have become increasingly popular. Now it’s time for the next cinematic interpretation of the character and her own origin story.
Todd Phillips is currently directing the film following his work on Joker. He co-wrote the screenplay for alongside Scott Silver.
The cast of the film currently includes Joaquin Phoenix as the titular Joker with Lady Gaga joining as Harley Quinn.
