Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe recently discovered that Tom Hiddleston’s Loki is gender fluid. Interestingly, however, it appears that Sophia Di Martino’s character Sylvie is not gender fluid.
This information was confirmed by Marvel Studios in the upcoming second season of Loki. As you can see below, a prop from the show’s production was shared on Reddit. The prop happens to be an arrest report with various details about Sylvie – including the fact that she isn’t gender fluid.
The arrest report confirms that Sylvie identifies as female. This may come as a shock for those who expected her character to be treated the same as Hiddleston’s Loki. After all, it became quite the revelation for fans of the character to learn that his version was gender fluid. But this appears to now be one of several differences between the two.

Of course, this is only a subtle detail shared within a prop item for the series. It’s unlikely that Sylvie’s identity will play into the plot – at least not to that extent. But it’s an interesting tidbit that shows not all variants have the same identities or preferences. Perhaps we’ll see more of these subtle differences between variants as Marvel continues to explore the Multiverse. In the meantime, it does add an interesting layer to Sophia Di Martino’s Sophie and her dynamic with Loki.
The cast of Loki Season 2 will once again feature Tom Hiddleston as the titular character. The cast also includes Kate Dickie, Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Eugene Cordero, Tara Strong, and Rafael Casal.
The first season of Loki is currently available to watch on the Disney Plus streaming service. Meanwhile, the second season is expected to hit Disney Plus at some point during Summer 2023. Fans can stay tuned to ScreenGeek for updates on the upcoming second season of Loki as we have them.
