There are still a few years before the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Avengers: The Kang Dynasty hits theaters. However, some reports about the film are already surfacing online. Now a new Avengers: The Kang Dynasty rumor suggests that a major superhero death may occur.
Of course, this wouldn’t be the first time for a major death in an Avengers film. After all, fans both cheered and cried during Tony Stark’s sacrifice in Avengers: Endgame. Now, as shared by Alex Perez of The Cosmic Circus, another death could be happening in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
Perez revealed as much when one Twitter user called Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania anti-climactic (potential spoiler ahead). The MCU film ended positively with all of its superheroes surviving. Now Perez claims this is because one of them will meet a tragic fate in the next Avengers film.
“They’re saving those deaths for Kang Dynasty,” Perez writes. “Well 1 of them anyways…”

Nevertheless, it’s unclear which character could have the alleged death scene in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Though considering Michelle Pfeiffer’s character, Janet van Dyne, had a strong connection with Kang the Conqueror in Quantumania, she seems to be a likely candidate. Although the Kang of that film died – it’s possible that another variant could want revenge. Especially given her responsibility for having left Kang in the Quantum Realm all those years.
It would definitely be a fitting plot for a film titled Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. And especially considering it will lead into the events of Avengers: Secret Wars. Of course, we’ll just have to wait and see how accurate this rumor is – if at all.
Destin Daniel Cretton is attached to direct Avengers: The Kang Dynasty with Jeff Loveness writing the film’s screenplay.
Fans will be able to see Avengers: The Kang Dynasty in theaters on May 2, 2025 with the follow-up Avengers: Secret Wars in theaters on May 1, 2026. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates as we have them.
