The new Marvel Cinematic Universe film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania officially kicks off Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As such, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania does feature some exciting new post-credits sequences. Now fans can see how the film sets the stage for what’s to come in the MCU.
There are two post-credits scenes attached to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. One scene teases the arrival of an upcoming Disney Plus project while the other reveals just how Kang the Conqueror will return yet again. As such, Phase 5 is certainly going to be an interesting event for fans of the franchise.
Here’s how the mid-credits scene plays out:
We discover how this film’s variant of Kang was exiled to the Quantum Realm. As it turns out, different variants of the character were the ones who exiled him. The variants discuss how this film’s version of the character was killed by Ant-Man. The group builds an army of Kangs as a result, fearful of Ant-Man and his ability to kill one of their own, and prepare to eliminate both him and the other Avengers.
This obviously sets the stage for the next Avengers film. As such, Phase 5 will be building up towards quite the finale. Now, as for the end-credits scene:
This particular scene acts as a teaser for the second season of the Disney Plus series Loki. It opens in the early 1900s with a man named Victor Timely giving a science presentation. It’s obvious that this character is yet another variant of Kang. As such, Loki and Mobius M. Mobius are shown to be watching his presentation from the audience. Loki tells Mobius that Timely happens to be the most fearsome and powerful man he’s come across. Thus we can expect the second season to revolve around these events.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was directed by Peyton Reed from a screenplay written by Jeff Loveness. The cast for the film includes Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kathryn Newton, and Jonathan Majors.
