The Netflix series Wednesday has become a viral sensation for numerous reasons – perhaps most notably, however, for Jenna Ortega’s iconic dance scene. It was a moment that many fans have attempted to recreate on social media. Now none other than Madonna has made her own attempt to recreate Jenna Ortega’s dance choreography from Wednesday.
Indeed, Jenna Ortega managed to choreograph the entire dance herself while working on Wednesday. Many fans recognized that the scene included the use of Goo Goo Muck by The Cramps. Of course, many of the viral recreations have used Lady Gaga’s Bloody Mary instead, and that happens to be the song chosen by Madonna as well.
Here’s the video that Madonna shared of herself attempting the iconic Wednesday dance via TikTok:

Perhaps now we’ll only see more recreations of Jenna Ortega’s dance. It certainly goes to show just how popular the Netflix series has become on social media. It certainly helps that even celebrities such as Madonna are getting in on the action. For a dance sequence that Jenna Ortega herself never thought would blow up – it’s quite fascinating to see how much of a trend this little scene has become.
Meanwhile, fans can begin looking forward to the second season of Wednesday which was recently announced. Jenna Ortega will once again return to reprise her role as the iconic character. And, of course, it seems likely that we could see other sequences akin to Ortega’s iconic dance number in the upcoming season.
In addition to Jenna Ortega as the titular character, the cast of Wednesday includes Gwendoline Christie, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Fred Armisen, and Christina Ricci.
Fans can currently view the entire first season of Wednesday on Netflix. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for additional updates on the series as we have them.
