It’s been a long time since Biker Mice from Mars aired its final episodes. Now a new announcement has revealed that the property is making a comeback. Surprisingly, there’s not only a new Biker Mice from Mars series in development, but a new toy line as well!
As shared via ComicBook.com, The Nacelle Company has acquired rights to the brand. They’re the studio behind such Netflix hits as The Toys That Made Us and The Movies That Made Us. As such, it seems appropriate that they might want to revive Biker Mice from Mars.
Here’s how they summarize the new deal:
“Immediately, Nacelle plans to push a new toyline out featuring the characters, with plans to re-develop another animated series nearly 30 years after the original property aired its final episodes.”
Additionally, Nacelle CEO Brian Volk-Weiss shared the following statement:
“Biker Mice is the perfect way to start 2023 off with a Mars-based bang! And they’ll fit in, with their unique, creative brilliance, with the rest of brands we’ve recently acquired,” Volk-Weiss shared.
This is certainly an exciting move for Nacelle. There are surely plenty of viewers who’d be interested in a nostalgic comeback for the fan-favorite animated series. Otherwise, there’s certainly room for a new generation to latch onto the concept.
Not to mention, it’ll be interesting to see what other brands Nacelle has acquired. If this is the route they plan to take their company – then there will probably be other unexpected surprises on the way.
Regarding Biker Mice from Mars, however, it remains to be seen what direction the new series will take. It could be a complete reinvention of the source material or a direct continuation. Either way, it’ll be great to see the property back in action again.
