The beloved live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian is finally returning. Although fans have had plenty of Star Wars shows to enjoy since the second season ended, including Obi-Wan Kenobi and Andor, audiences are ready to reunite with Din Djarin and Grogu. Now the full official trailer for The Mandalorian Season 3 shows them both back in action.
The characters made previous appearances in The Book of Boba Fett. However, this time we’ll get to focus more heavily on the characters and their newfound place in the galaxy. Grogu chose to leave Luke Skywalker as he returned to Din Djarin, and now we’ll see where these decisions take the characters.
Here’s the full official trailer for The Mandalorian Season 3:
The overall series takes place after the events of Return of the Jedi. The events are also closely tied with several other Disney Plus shows including the aforementioned The Book of Boba Fett and the upcoming series Ahsoka. As such, it’s going to be exciting seeing what all of these different storylines are building up to. We still have quite a few years before The Force Awakens takes place – so there should be plenty of unforeseen adventures ahead.
The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau wrote all eight episodes of the season. He was assisted with Noah Kloor on the third episode while Dave Filoni was involved with the fourth and seventh episodes. Directors for the season include Bryce Dallas Howard, Rick Famuyiwa, and co-star Carl Weathers.
The cast of the new season includes Pedro Pascal, Giancarlo Esposito, Carl Weathers, Katee Sackhoff, Emily Swallow, Omid Abtahi, Amy Sedaris, Christopher Lloyd, and Tim Meadows.
The Mandalorian Season 3 is expected to be released via Disney Plus on March 1, 2023. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for additional updates on the fan-favorite Star Wars series and other such projects as we have them.
