The Marvel Cinematic Universe is well-known for setting the stage for upcoming projects in advance. As such, it’s expected that we’ll see the upcoming films Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars foreshadowed sooner rather than later. Now a new report suggests that a Disney Plus series will set the stage for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
As shared via Cosmic Circus, they have reason to believe this series will feature ties to the fifth Avengers film. Fans are already eager to see what’s in store with this upcoming film, given that it will involve Kang the Conqueror. So what series could possibly set the stage?
Interestingly, it’s a series that fans might not expect. They claim that this series is none other than Strange Academy.
According to the rumor, the series is expected to focus on Benedict Wong’s Wong and Xochitl Gomez’s America Chavez. This would follow the story elements introduced at the end of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. As such, the characters would revolve around a new school designed for magic users.
Naturally, this could give America Chavez a place to use her powers that are connected to the Multiverse. And, based on that, it could logically lead to the storylines that Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will have to include. Of course, in order to do this, the Disney Plus series will have to be released prior to the 2025 release date of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
Additionally, given that this is only a rumor, the information should be taken with a grain of salt. But it certainly gives fans a potential glimpse at how some of the upcoming MCU projects will lead into one another.
Fans will be able to see Avengers: The Kang Dynasty in theaters on May 2, 2025. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for additional updates as we have them.
