Lisa Marie Presley was rushed to the hospital for a potential cardiac arrest on January 12. However, it’s now been confirmed that she has died at age 54. Her parents were Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley.
As shared via PEOPLE, her mother Priscilla Presley released a statement to confirm the unfortunate news. Here’s what she stated:
“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” Priscilla began.
She continued to describe her daughter before asking for privacy at this time.
“She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment.”
This news comes just days after Lisa Marie Presley attended the Golden Globe Awards alongside her mother Priscilla and actor Austin Butler. At the event, Butler won an award for his portrayal as her father, Elvis Presley, in the Baz Luhrmann film “Elvis.”
Lisa Marie Presley was born in Memphis, Tennessee on February 1, 1968. At the age of nine, however, he father Elvis died in 1977. By 1980, she became the sole heir of Elvis’s estate including his Graceland residence.
Throughout her life, Lisa Marie Presley married several times. She initially married Danny Keough in 1998. The two had two children, Riley Keough and Benjamin Keough, with Benjamin having committed suicide at age 27 in 2020.
Her other marriages included Michael Jackson, whom she was married to from 1994 to 1996, and actor Nicolas Cage whom she married in 2002. They eventually separated within four months of the same year. More recently, Presley married Michael Lockwood and the two had twin daughters: Finley Lockwood and Harper Lockwood. Presley and Lockwood divorced in 2021.
Presley is survived by Riley Keough, Finley Lockwood, and Harper Lockwood.
