The iconic story is being retold with a horror twist in the upcoming film Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey. Now fans can get an additional glimpse at the carnage with a new Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey trailer.
The upcoming horror film was made possible after the original story fell into the public domain. This allowed the filmmakers involved to recreate Winnie the Pooh, and his friend Piglet, into nightmarish villains that fans never expected to see on the screen. And, with that in mind, a theatrical release for such a project seemed even more unlikely. But it goes to show that we’re all living in the best timeline to have such projects available for theatrical viewing.
As you can see below, the new footage teases a large amount of carnage in just a very small amount of time. Of course, it’s just enough to get fans hyped for the film’s upcoming theatrical release next month. Although the theatrical release will be scheduled for one night only – it looks like it’ll be a great time at the theater.
Here’s the new Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey trailer:
Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey features both Winnie and Pooh having become feral after feeling abandoned by Christopher Robin. This leads the two newly-forged villains on a quest for food in the form of a horrifying killing spree.
Rhys Frake-Waterfield both wrote and directed the horror film from a screenplay inspired from the public domain characters created by A.A. Milne.
The cast of Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey includes Amber Doig-Thorne, Maria Taylor, and Danielle Scott.
Fans can look forward to seeing Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey in theaters for a special one-day event on February 15, 2023. This release will be followed with a digital release at a later date.
