The long-awaited sequel Avatar: The Way of Water has finally arrived. Now fans are eager to know about Avatar 3 and what to expect when that film hits theaters. Furthermore, it appears that the title of Avatar 3 has already been reportedly revealed.
Interestingly, the title of Avatar 3 was first reported several years ago by the BBC. This report has resurfaced with the arrival of Avatar: The Way of Water, however, giving new merit to the potential Avatar 3 title.
As it turns out, the report, which dates back to 2018, actually revealed the title of Avatar 2 as well. Now that we know it was correct about The Way of Water – it seems likely that it could be correct about Avatar 3 as well.
The title itself, however, is a bit of a strange one. While the second film’s title teases the new movie’s focus on Pandora’s oceans, the third film’s potential title suggests something quite different. With the reported name being Avatar: The Seed Bearer, it seems like we’ll have a plot about pregnancy to some extent.
Additionally, the report also reveals the potential titles of the fourth and fifth Avatar films. The fourth is called Avatar: The Tulkun Rider with the fifth being Avatar: The Quest for Eywa. Of course, this report was written more than a few years ago by this point. And given the distant release dates for the other sequels, it’s more than possible that they could change at any given time.
With that in mind, we’ll just have to wait and see how the official titles are announced. For now, however, it seems very possible that Avatar 3 could be titled Avatar: The Seed Bearer.
Avatar: The Way of Water was directed by James Cameron. He wrote the screenplay alongside Josh Friedman. Cameron produced the film alongside Jon Landau. The cast for the film includes Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement and Kate Winslet.
