Disney Plus has become a cornerstone for Marvel fans. Unfortunately, it appears that a portion of Marvel Studios MCU content has just been removed from the streaming service.
Fans have been using Disney Plus to consume as much Marvel Cinematic Universe content as possible. This includes movies, shows, specials, and exclusive materials. Now some of these materials have been completely removed from the application.
Many fans recognize Marvel Studios: Assembled as an important source of behind-the-scenes information. Every individual episode explores the development of different MCU projects and how they were created. As such, many die-hard Marvel fans found them to be invaluable examples of how their favorite projects came to be.
Specifically, it appears that an entire six episodes of Marvel Studios: Assembled have been removed from Disney Plus. Here are the episodes that are now missing:
WandaVision
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
Loki
Black Widow
What If…?
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
Now, however, these various episodes are no longer available to stream. It’s unclear why exactly they were removed from the Disney Plus app as well. There’s a possibility that Disney found the content to be too old for their streaming service. These episodes were all released in 2021, after all, and 2023 is already upon us. Of course, given the historical importance of each episode, it seems odd to remove them for such a reason as that.
In fact, it’s possible that additional episodes will be removed as we approach the end of 2023. But that remains to be seen. As for now, it looks like fans will have difficulty revisiting these episodes since they were only available on Disney Plus. Perhaps we’ll have an official statement on the matter soon.
For now, stay tuned to ScreenGeek for additional MCU updates including what might be removed next as we have them.
