The first season of the animated series Invincible was a major success for Amazon in 2021. Now, after such a long wait, it’s been announced that Invincible Season 2 will be available to stream via Prime Video in 2023.
This was shared by Vernon Sanders, Head of Television at Amazon Studios, in a new interview with Collider. Of course, other details regarding the hit animated series were scarce.
As for what he could reveal, Sanders first began his reveal by playing coy:
“2023 is going to be a great year for people.”
This was a response to being asked whether or not the second season of Invincible would arrive in 2023. When asked for further confirmation, he finally gave a more solid answer, simply saying “Yes.” Obviously he couldn’t deliver any other details regarding a specific time-frame or anything like plot details.
It’s certainly nice knowing that the series will return sooner rather than later. Luckily, fans have known not to worry too much. After all, not only was the series already renewed for a second season, but a third season was previously greenlit as well. As such, fans will get their Invincible fix eventually – it’s just a matter of waiting.
The series Invincible was penned by Robert Kirkman with art from both Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley. The incredible cast for the series includes Steven Yeun, J.K. Simmons, Jason Mantzoukas, Sandra Oh, Seth Rogen, Mark Hamill, and Mahershala Ali. It’s no wonder why fans are crazy about this show. With a great voice cast and fantastic writing to boot, Invincible is a series any superhero fan is bound to enjoy.
The first season of Invincible is currently available to stream on Prime Video. Fans can stay tuned to ScreenGeek for additional updates regarding Invincible Season 2 as we have them. For now, however, it’s great knowing that it will finally arrive in 2023.
