The new Spider-Man film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be introducing plenty of new Spider-People to the film franchise. Now a new trailer reveals that Peter Parker’s daughter will be one such character.
As revealed in a new YouTube Premium exclusive preview, Peter Parker’s daughter will be appearing in the film as a baby. Furthermore, it appears that this version of the character will be named Mayday Parker – after Peter’s own Aunt May.
Of course, this is also the same name given to a future version of Peter’s daughter from the Marvel Comics. This version was a full-grown superhero, however, so it’s unknown if we’ll see that version just yet in Across the Spider-Verse. Though it does appear that she’ll have spider powers of her own.
This was shared by executive producer Chris Miller:
“She’s half spider-blood in her, so she’s got some spider-stuff going on.”
Here’s the first look at the new character:

Fans will recognize that she has Mary-Jane’s signature red hair, with Peter Parker’s own Spider-Man logo stitched on the front of her overalls. In fact, there even appears to be the trademark spiderweb stitching across her red shirt that heavily resembles the classic Spider-Man outfit. It’ll certainly be interesting to see where this film leads her character and what kind of emotional moment we can expect for Peter Parker, aka Peter B. Parker.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson. Meanwhile, Phil Lord and Chris Miller will be credited as writers on the project alongside David Callaham. The film will be produced by Amy Pascal, Avi Arad, and Christina Steinberg. The film will be executive produced by original Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse director Peter Ramsey as well as Aditya Sood.
A few of the cast members in the film include Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, Oscar Isaac, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez and Greta Lee. Issa Rae, Rachel Dratch, Joma Taccone, Shea Whigham, Daniel Kaluuya, and Jason Schwartzman among others.
Audiences will be able to see the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse on June 2, 2023. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for additional updates on Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse as we have them.
