It was first reported years ago that WWE star Becky Lynch would be appearing in the MCU. However, with all of the time that’s gone by, the star still has yet to appear in any Marvel projects. Now the reason may have just been revealed.
As reported via Fightful Select, it’s alleged that Becky Lynch actually shot a scene for the film Eternals. Unfortunately, it’s unclear what exactly her character was going to be. But we do have some other details.
For starters, it was stated that her scene in Eternals would have actually been a post-credits scene. It appears the footage was “too depressing” to be used, however, with it being removed altogether. With that in mind, it’s hard to determine what character Becky Lynch could have played or what made the scene so depressing.
On the other hand, they did off some positive news. They noted that it isn’t out of the question for Becky Lynch’s character to instead be used in another Marvel project down the line. After all, while the scene itself was deemed depressing, it appears that Marvel was still happy with Lynch’s performance. This is certainly a good sign for fans hoping that Becky Lynch would still appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
As for now, it looks like Lynch will continue to stay occupied with her fighting career. Fans will no doubt be wishing her the best while they wait to see her potentially reappear in another Marvel project.
Fans can stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates on Becky Lynch and her reported involvement with the MCU as we have them. In the meantime, it’s nice to have some information on what might’ve been going on behind-the-scenes. Of course, be sure to take this information with a grain of salt until we have more concrete news.
