Although The Walking Dead has ended, the horror franchise is still set to continue with a number of spin-offs. This includes the new Daryl Dixon series, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, the first images for which you can see below.
The new series will once again feature Norman Reedus as the titular character. This time, however, he’ll be in an entirely new location. Specifically, it appears that Daryl Dixon ends up in France for the events of this series.
He discussed this while speaking with EW where the images were shared. As he explained, the new series is “going to be way different.” Here’s how he continued to elaborate:
“The story’s way different. There’s a different tone, there’s different light, there’s a different sound. It’s a whole different vibe.”
Here are the new images from EW for the upcoming The Walking Dead spin-off Daryl Dixon:
“It’s so epic in scale, and the tone is so good and different, and moody,” Reedus added.
The images certainly illustrate just how different this new series will be from its predecessor. Although there are still the signature walkers and Norman Reedus as the familiar titular character, there are still plenty of new changes from the setting. It should be interesting to see how they come into play with this new story and how things turn out for our beloved Daryl Dixon. In the meantime, we’ll just have to wait for further news on the series.
David Zabel will serve as showrunner on The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. Furthermore, The Walking Dead executive producer and director Greg Nicotero will also be involved with the new spin-off series.
In addition to Norman Reedus, the announced cast for the series also includes Clémence Poésy and Adam Nagaitis.
Fans can stay tuned to ScreenGeek for additional updates regarding The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon as we have them. As for now, it looks like production has been going underway quite nicely. Hopefully this is a good sign for what’s to come with all of these upcoming spin-offs set in the world of The Walking Dead.
