There are plenty of reasons to be excited for Dune: Part Two. After all, the first film was quite a success with fans of the source material and newcomers to the brand. It only makes sense that fans are hyped for the upcoming sequel which is currently in production in Abu Dhabi. As you can see below, however, cast member Zendaya found enough time to take a break from filming while she shared quite the photo on Instagram.
Although she isn’t in costume, fans will no doubt recognize the desert behind her. The Abu Dhabi landscapes double quite nicely for the planet Arrakis on which the Dune films are set. As for Zendaya herself, however, she’s front-and-center in the photo with a very stunning pose.

As production continues, hopefully we’ll have additional looks at the film. In the meantime, however, it’s great to see that Zendaya seems to be having fun on set. It’s worth noting that her role in the sequel is expected to be much larger than her part in the first Dune film. So, with that in mind, we’ll have to see where things go from here.
Denis Villeneuve returned to direct Dune: Part Two after having directed the first film. The screenplay was penned by Villeneuve, Jon Spaihts, and Eric Roth.
Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Zendaya, Charlotte Rampling, and Javier Bardem star in the film which will adapt the second half of the 1965 novel Dune. The new cast members joining the film include Florence Pugh, Austin Butler, Christopher Walken, and Léa Seydoux
Fans will be able to see Dune: Part Two in theaters next year on November 3, 2023. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for additional updates on the highly-anticipated blockbuster as we have them.
