Despite the recent success of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, star Letitia Wright is still facing controversy. The Hollywood star previously retweeted an anti-vax conspiracy video in 2020 during the pandemic. She faced a storm of backlash as a result. This included rumors that she was trying to spread her anti-vax views on the set of Wakanda Forever. Although she denied these rumors, apologized, and further refrained from discussing her thoughts on vaccines, she’s still being talked about in the media.
In fact, a recent article even makes comparisons between Letitia Wright and the likes of sex abuser Roman Polanski among others such as Harvey Weinstein and Woody Allen.
As one might imagine, Letitia Wright was not happy with the article. She took to Instagram in an effort to respond and emphasize how upset she was with THR and the author of the piece. Specifically, she noted how both THR and author Scott Feinberg have refused to either apologize to Letitia Wright or remove her name from the article.
Here are the Wakanda Forever star’s responses from Instagram as recorded below on Twitter:
I’m sorry but, no matter what you think of her or her past comments – which, as she specified again here, she has already apologized for – it’s simply beyond sick to lump Letitia Wright in with men accused of sexual misconduct who have taken NO accountability for their actions. pic.twitter.com/TTD08koZXp

More from Letitia Wright as @THR continues to remain silence. No accountability from F*inb*rg or this sad excuse of a publication. Despicable. pic.twitter.com/SFKjhqQYri

Despite her feelings, author Scott Feinberg has only more recently described that any criticism of his article is simply an internet “pile-on.” He further appeared to consider himself a victim when one journalist criticized his article on Twitter. Here’s a screenshot of his response to said journalist that was shared:
This is what he sent me.
I immediately apologized for tagging him in my comments and said that it was an overstep.
I went on to tell him not to misconstrue my criticism for a personal attack. His words have power and he needs to take responsibility for them. pic.twitter.com/yqWIoJ5U26

In addition to Letitia Wright, the article also compared both Will Smith and Brad Pitt to aforementioned sex abuser Roman Polanski. Additionally, the piece listed Woody Allen, Casey Affleck, Mel Gibson, Gary Oldman, Nick Vallelonga, Nate Parker, and Bryan Singer for its bizarre comparisons.
Interestingly, fellow MCU star Evangeline Lilly has also made anti-vax comments but she’s notably received nowhere near the backlash that Letitia Wright has. Regardless, retweeting a video should be nowhere near the crime that sexual abuse is.
