The 2018 horror film Hereditary has become something of a modern classic in recent years. As such, A24 is clearly more than happy to continue marketing it. Now they’ve gone a step further to release a Hereditary gingerbread house kit.
Specifically, the kit is inspired by the iconic and terrifying treehouse location used during the film.
The Hereditary gingerbread house kit is currently available to purchase from the A24 webstore. Furthermore, once ordered, it ships by December 16. This means fans will have the gingerbread kit just in time to celebrate the holidays. Of course, it’s worth noting that fans will have to make the gingerbread themselves. But the kit makes that easier than ever with “a cast iron mold plate,” which will allow fans to make as many gingerbread treehouses as they want.
In addition to the cast iron mold, the kit also includes a “plastic treehouse base, recipe card, instruction booklet,” and, better yet, there’s “a tealight to illuminate your treehouse at night.” If that’s not enough, you’ll also be able to make your very own “gingerbread Peter, Paimon, and worshippers” to go along with it. It’s further stated that the plastic base is “made from food-safe ABS plastic,” which includes “a forest-floor textured base plate, four ‘birch’ legs, a platform, and a ladder.”
Although Hereditary might not be the first film that fans think of during this time of year, this is certainly a great way for horror fans to celebrate it. And given that it includes a reusable cast iron kit, that’s certainly more than enough reason to make this kit into a yearly tradition. How cool!
Ari Aster directed Hereditary which was released on June 8, 2018. The cast for the film includes Toni Collette, Alex Wolff, Millie Shapiro, and Gabriel Byrne. It’s certainly become a highlight of the A24 catalogue and a film that boosted Aster’s career.
