Fans are hyped to see what’s in store for the third Deadpool movie. It was recently announced that Hugh Jackman would be joining Ryan Reynolds in the MCU film, with the two playing their iconic X-Men characters Wolverine and Deadpool, respectively. Now new casting details may have just revealed the villain of Deadpool 3 as well.
The casting details were revealed in a new rumor posted by insider Daniel RPK. They claimed that Marvel is currently searching for “a foe to Deadpool and Wolverine,” presumably the Deadpool 3 villain, and according to the casting details they want a female lead aged 30-50 for the role. Additionally, Marvel seems to be looking for a “BIPOC” (aka Black, Indigenous, and/or People of Color) to play another leading man. This character is said to “not have a superhero suit,” but that they do “share scenes with Deadpool and Wolverine.”
As you can see below:

Interestingly, they also note that Ryan Reynolds was spotted reading Wolverine v.7 #21 in a recent “Deadpool Update” video. This comic book issue features both Deadpool and Wolverine working together to fight a villain named Danger. As it just so happens, Danger matches the alleged casting description for the villain of the film. Thus it seems likely that this film will be bringing Danger into the live-action realm. For fans that are unaware of Danger’s identity, they’re the sentient version of the X-Men’s Danger Room from the comics.
Danger is rumored to be the main villain of DEADPOOL 3.

As for the “BIPOC” character, it seems likely that this would be the character Forge. He happens to have a mutant power for creating advanced technology. As such, he certainly would fit into the film’s storyline if Danger is included. It would also mean that he could have superpowers just without having a superhero costume. While we’ll have to wait and see if Danger and Forge are both included, it certainly seems like these are both likely candidates. Other characters are also rumored to appear in the film such as Gambit (played by none other than Channing Tatum). We could also see a return to Fox’s other Marvel properties such as the 2005 Fantastic Four film and its sequel.
Shawn Levy is set to direct Deadpool 3 from a screenplay written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux previously worked on the film’s screenplay.
Deadpool 3 is currently set to hit theaters on November 8, 2024. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates on the highly-anticipated blockbuster as we have them.
