Many fans have started to recognize The Simpsons for a number of surprising predictions that seem to have come true over the years. Now another prediction from the hit series The Simpsons has been going viral online. With the recent announcement that Donald Trump will be running for President of the United States in the 2024 election, fans are looking back at a 2015 segment of The Simpsons.
Specifically, the moment from The Simpsons that fans are pointing out happens to have Homer Simpson in the forefront while a sign in the background says “TRUMP 2024.” It’s hard to miss and one can only think how accurate of a prediction the sign really is.
As you can see below in the tweet from Simpsons producer Al Jean:

The specific segment this image comes from was the short titled Trumptastic Voyage. It was uploaded to YouTube in 2015, but once Trump announced his plan to run for President of the United States, it quickly resurfaced via Twitter user Al Jean. Furthermore, Jean actually acts as a writer on The Simpsons – so it goes to show how much foresight they happen to have. Furthermore, this is far from the first time that The Simpsons made a prediction regarding Donald Trump.
The series popularly produced an episode in its eleventh season titled Bart to the Future. This episode features Lisa Simpson as President of the United States, and further explains that there’s a budget issue that was inherited from Trump’s presidency. It even went a step further to say that Trump beat Hillary Clinton for the job. It’s worth noting that this episode aired way back in 2000 – so seeing it all happen in 2016 was certainly an eerie moment for fans. Of course, some of these predictions are outright coincidental, while others are more carefully planned out. But it goes to show that a series like The Simpsons should be far from being ignored.
