There’s a lot of anticipation for next year’s Kraven the Hunter film adaptation. After all, fans have had plenty of mixed feelings regarding Sony’s Marvel films. While the Venom movies starring Tom Hardy have been rather positively-received, other installments like Morbius were received quite negatively. Now fans are eager to see how Kraven the Hunter will end up being received – and, according to a recent test screening, “it’s a pretty solid film.”
As revealed below, Big Screen Leaks claims that the film has received its first test screening. Furthermore, it turns out that there was apparently a positive response at the test screening for Kraven the Hunter. Although he couldn’t share any specific details, he does indicate that the audience felt it was “solid” as mentioned above.

With that in mind, fans still have almost an entire year before Kraven the Hunter hits theaters. A lot can happen between now and then, including plenty of changes in the post-production process. So we’ll just have to keep an eye out and see how the film continues to shape up. But, for such an early step in the overall process, it’s certainly reassuring news for some Kraven the Hunter fans. Let’s hope that this ends up being as well-received as Sony’s current two Venom films and that their other new Marvel films are the same way.
J.C. Chandor directed the upcoming film from a screenplay by Art Marcum & Matt Holloway and Richard Wenk. The film will be produced by Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach.
The cast for the new film includes Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinger, Christopher Abbott, Alessandro Nivola, and Russell Crowe.
Audiences will be able to see Kraven the Hunter when it hits theaters later next year on October 6, 2023. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for additional updates on the highly-anticipated film as we have them.
