Many fans are excited to see Tim Burton’s upcoming Netflix series Wednesday and how it will reintroduce the characters of The Addams Family. One such character, Uncle Fester, has been kept under wraps until now. Netflix has officially revealed that none other than Fred Armisen will be playing Uncle Fester in Wednesday – and fans can see him in action down below.
The character is one of many introduced in the new Wednesday trailer released by Netflix. In addition, fans can get their first look at Christina Ricci in the series. While she played Wednesday in the 1990’s Addams Family films, she’ll be playing a brand-new character for this iteration.

This new trailer is certainly an exciting look at the upcoming series. Although Tim Burton is clearly using the original comics and adaptations as inspiration, he’s also doing his own spin on the material. There should be plenty to look forward to, then, especially to see how this new storyline pans out. Hopefully we’ll have more details on the series soon. At least we know now that Fred Armisen will be playing Uncle Fester – so who knows what other surprises might be in store?
The cast for the series includes Jenna Ortega as the titular Wednesday Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, and Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams. Isaac Ordonez will also be playing Pugsley Addams while Christina Ricci has been cast as Miss Thornhill. Tim Burton directed the series while Alfred Gough and Miles Millar were attached as writers and showrunners.
Viewers will be able to stream Wednesday via Netflix next month on November 23, 2022. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for additional updates on the highly-anticipated series as we have them. As for now, this new trailer should certainly hold fans over.
