With Halloween on the way, everyone’s finding unique ways to celebrate. For example, Dave and Audry Appel of Chicago decided to recreate one of the most iconic moments from the latest season of Stranger Things. This particular moment occurs when Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink) levitates through the air during a very tense scene. Amazingly enough, the couple have recreated the levitation sequence with a real-world display. Unfortunately, there has been some controversy surrounding the Stranger Things Halloween display as a result.
The controversy started after the couple decided to record their display and show it on TikTok. It quickly became a viral sensation and, as of this writing, has earned over 2.7 million views. Unfortunately, one neighbor felt the need to complain about the display. It seemed like all hope was going to be lost as a result.
Their Instagram profile shared the following statement to announce the potential removal of the display:

Thankfully, everything appears to have worked out. The couple announced new hours for fans to visit their Halloween display – and now everyone is able to continue enjoying the Stranger Things recreation. Here are some images of the Max prop levitating in the sky:

It’s great to see that fans are able to still see the display in person. After all, it clearly must’ve been a lot of work to make the illusion work. It really does look the same exact way Max does when she levitates in the newest Stranger Things season. It goes to show that dedicated fans are often the most innovative and creative kinds of people out there.
The first four seasons of Stranger Things are currently available to view on Netflix. Although the fifth season is set to be the final season of the hit show, there is a spin-off series in the works. With that in mind, fans can stay tuned to ScreenGeek for updates on all of these upcoming projects as we have them.
