The highly-anticipated film The Flash has been moving in some interesting directions throughout the last few years. The film already took a long enough time to get through development. Then, upon finishing production, star Ezra Miller became a controversial figure. There have been numerous allegations made against the actor in addition to several arrests and court dates. Furthermore, Warner Bros has shown no interest in cancelling the film – so it seems like we’ll be seeing Ezra Miller in the film one way or another. According to a new report, however, Ezra Miller has apparently been shooting new scenes for The Flash.
This report, via The Wrap, suggests that Ezra Miller recently shot new scenes for The Flash last week. Unfortunately, it’s unclear what exactly the scenes were for or how many of them he participated in. But it appears that the reshoots would have only occurred for a single day. While this means they were mostly only small pickup scenes, the actor was involved with reshoots earlier this year as well. So, having said that, it’s possible that Warner Bros is still figuring out the best course of action regarding the film and Ezra Miller’s role.
It’s worth noting that reshoots are a normal part of making a movie – especially one as huge as The Flash. So, while some fans might assume this is a sign of trouble, it’s more like a sign of business as usual. Warner Bros is clearly intent on releasing The Flash – even if they have to make a few changes or additions along the way. So, with that in mind, it’s possible that we’ll be seeing more glimpses of the upcoming film sooner rather than later. Especially with its release date scheduled for next year.
Of course, it’s unknown whether or not Ezra Miller will be returning as the iconic character at any point after this film is released. For now, however, we’ll be seeing him tackle this first step into the DCEU’s larger Multiverse. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates as we have them.
