    ‘Beverly Hills Cop 4’ Set Photo Reveals Eddie Murphy’s Return

    For decades, fans have been waiting for Beverly Hills Cop 4 to happen. It seemed like the long-awaited sequel would never get off the ground – and especially not with franchise star Eddie Murphy. However, it’s time for fans to get excited as a new set photo confirms that Beverly Hills Cop is finally in production and filming. Furthermore, Eddie Murphy can even be pictured on the set.

    The image was shared by one Twitter user who stumbled across the set. The user explained that when looking at the set, they “realized it was Beverly Hills Cop” and that they “made eye contact with Eddie Murphy after the scene.”

    At the end of the shoot, however, they note “we just nodded hello at each other.”

    While it seemed like production on the highly-anticipated sequel appeared to come from nowhere – Eddie Murphy’s familiar jacket confirms it. Beverly Hills Cop 4 is finally filming and fans will soon get to experience the return of Eddie Murphy as Axel Foley. It’s a role he last portrayed in the 1994 film Beverly Hills Cop III, a sequel that was considered by many to be the weakest in the trilogy. As such, it’ll be interesting to see if this new sequel will make up for both this lackluster installment and the lost time since then and now.

    Mark Molloy will be directing Beverly Hills Cop 4. In addition to Eddie Murphy, the cast for the film will also include Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
