The MonsterVerse is continuing to expand with Adam Wingard’s upcoming sequel to Godzilla Vs. Kong. Of course, with that film currently in the works, many fans might’ve forgotten that there’s also a live-action series that’s been shooting at the same time. Yes, production has been moving on an upcoming live-action Godzilla series that’s set to premiere on Apple TV Plus. While the show’s production has been going on for several months now, we’ve only now gotten our first image from the untitled Godzilla series.
As you can see below, the Godzilla series image teases the presence of Monarch. Of course, many fans have already expected that Monarch would play a part in the series. They’ve become increasingly involved with the franchise since the release of Kong: Skull Island.
Furthermore, a previous synopsis for the upcoming series teased that the main characters would be exploring their connections to Monarch. This desk seems to be an example of some of the history these characters will be stumbling across.

Unfortunately, plot details beyond this are scarce. With the series only having been shooting for several weeks, of course, it’ll likely be quite some time before we know what the show is about. But this is a promising tease directly from Legendary – and one can only hope we’ll have plenty of other teasers in the near future. As for now, however, it’s nice to see that everything is going as planned for the highly-anticipated MonsterVerse series. This will also be the first live-action Godzilla television series – so there’s a lot of hype on that front. With so much potential to mine, it’s certainly an exciting time to be a fan of the iconic character.
The cast for the upcoming Godzilla series includes Kiersey Clemons, Wyatt Russell, and Kurt Russell. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for additional updates as we have them.
