Unfortunately with Netflix, it’s often difficult to determine when one of their shows is about to be cancelled. Now it looks like The Umbrella Academy will be one such show. On the bright side, however, it seems to be a planned ending – so fans can expect proper closure as opposed to the dreaded cliffhangers that so many other Netflix shows have been left on. As such, fans can expect The Umbrella Academy Season 4 to be the final season of the hit series.
Fans have been watching The Umbrella Academy for five years now. With three seasons having been released throughout those years, it’s nice to know that fans will finally see a fitting conclusion for the show. After all, with the third season having premiered this past June, fans are already eager for what’s next.
As showrunner Steve Blackman explained in a statement, he’s “so excited that the incredibly loyal fans will be able to experience the fitting end to the Hargreeves siblings’ journey we began five years ago.” He further noted, however, that “before we get to that conclusion,” they’ve “got an amazing story ahead for season four, one that will have fans on the edge of their seats until the final minutes.”
The cast for The Umbrella Academy Season 4 will include returning stars Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Justin H. Min, Ritu Arya, and Colm Feore.
Hopefully we’ll have more details regarding the future of The Umbrella Academy and what’s in store for its fourth season in the near future. Until then, however, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens. In the meantime, fans can still watch the first three seasons of The Umbrella Academy which are currently available to view on Netflix. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for news as we have it.
