In 2016, horror fans were surprised with the brutal and twisted film Terrifier. Now the long-awaited sequel to Terrifier, aptly-titled Terrifier 2, will finally be arriving this year. In fact, a brand-new official trailer has been unveiled for Terrifier 2 – and it guarantees that the return of Art the Clown will be one to remember.
The sequel to Terrifier has been in production for several years now. But after a lengthy production period made longer by the Coronavirus pandemic, Art the Clown is finally free to continue his bloody rampage.
As the new trailer reveals, Art the Clown is no longer clowning around.
Here’s the brand-new official trailer for Terrifier 2:
It certainly looks like this new film will be upping the ante when compared with its predecessor. While that film has become a modern-day cult classic for its use of gore and dark humor, it looks like this new film will be taking those tropes into all-new directions.
With a bigger scope than ever before, this will be an exciting throwback to classic slasher films while pushing Art the Clown into new territory. And, better yet, fans will finally be able to experience the new sequel this Fall. It’s definitely going to be a great time for horror fans as we approach this year’s Halloween season.
Damien Leone wrote and directed Terrifier 2. David Howard Thornton will star as the film’s iconic villain, Art the Clown. The cast also includes Lauren LaVera, Samantha Scaffidi, and Elliott Fullam with a special appearance by Sleepaway Camp star Felissa Rose.
Interestingly, this will actually be Art’s fifth appearance. The notorious killer clown first appeared in two short films later made into the 2013 film All Hallows’ Eve. It was this particular anthology film that led to Art getting his own spin-off film with Terrifier and its soon-to-be sequel.
The highly-anticipated horror film sequel Terrifier 2 is scheduled to be released this Fall. After its theatrical release, the film will then be available on the Screambox streaming service. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for additional Terrifier updates as we have them.
