One of the most exciting things about the Disney Plus series Hawkeye is that it reintroduced Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The character was previously part of Netflix’s slate of cancelled Marvel shows, in particular the series Daredevil, and it was unknown if he would ever be brought back for the MCU proper. Well, for those watching Hawkeye, they got their answer. Now it’s since been confirmed that Vincent D’Onofrio would be continuing to play the part for a number of other upcoming Marvel projects. This includes the upcoming series Echo – and now fans have our first look at Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin from the show’s set.
As you can see below, the Echo set photos seem to have been taken while they were filming flashback scenes. This suggests that we still do not yet know how Kingpin survived the gunshots he received at the end of Hawkeye. Nevertheless, it’s likely we’ll still get to see Kingpin both in the present and in these new flashbacks.
With that in mind, the character appears to be wearing a very familiar suit in this flashback sequence.
Here are the Echo set photos featuring Kingpin:

Hopefully we’ll have more details soon, especially with the series in production. In the meantime, however, this is still an exciting glimpse at what’s to come. Fans have waited years for Kingpin to make a return (alongside his superhero counterpart, Charlie Cox’s Daredevil) and now we’re finally getting it. The character is further expected to appear in the upcoming Disney Plus series Daredevil: Born Again as well. It’s definitely a great time to be a Marvel fan.
Fans will be able to see the highly-anticipated Disney Plus series Echo next year. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for additional updates on this project as well as other such Marvel Cinematic Universe productions as we have them.
