Actress Ana de Armas will be portraying none other than Marilyn Monroe as the subject of the upcoming biopic film Blonde. The new movie is a highly-anticipated look at the iconic actress’s life based on the 2000 novel of the same name. The original novel, which was written by Joyce Carol Oates, was adapted by filmmaker Andrew Dominik for this particular interpretation. Now an official trailer has been revealed for Blonde.
Interestingly, the trailer reveals that portions of the film will be shot in black-and-white while others are in color. It’s unclear why exactly these two color choices were used, and, similarly, many of the story details are still merely hinted at within the trailer.
As such, it seems like this will be quite the surprise for fans when they tune in on Netflix’s streaming service.
Here’s the brand-new official trailer for the upcoming Netflix film Blonde:
The film will be exaggerating some elements of the actress’s life. But, regardless of this, it looks like it will still be focused heavily on Marilyn Monroe and her truer side, Norma Jean Mortensen. With that in mind, there will certainly be a lot to look forward to when the film is released this September. Fans can stay tuned to ScreenGeek for additional updates regarding Blonde, its star Ana de Armas, and other such Netflix projects as we have them.
The upcoming Marilyn Monroe biopic Blonde was written and directed by Andrew Dominik. The film is produced by Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Tracey Landon, Brad Pitt, and Scott Robertson. It will also be the first streaming exclusive film to be rated NC-17.
The cast for the film includes Ana de Armas as Marilyn Monroe, Adrien Brody as Arthur Miller, Bobby Cannavale as Joe DiMaggio, and Julianne Nicholson as Gladys Pearl Baker.
Fans will be able to stream the upcoming film Blonde when it is released via Netflix on September 28, 2022.
