Shazam: Fury of the Gods is the much anticipated sequel to one of DC’s best films to date. The dichotomy that Captain Marvel and Billy Batson bring to the pages of the comics as well as the big screen is the best bridge for young fans who truly wish to be superheroes. Now, as the sequel approaches, the stakes are raised and the Shazam Family must come together for an even bigger fight on their hands as old gods come into the fold. Thanks to San Diego Comic Con, we have our first trailer.
Zachary Levi returns as Shazam, along with his foster brothers and sisters who are now also heroes. But now the threat has become even more insane as Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu join the film as Hespera and Kalypso, respectively.
We see in the new look that the ancient mythological world will be brought to modern day as we will get minotaurs, gryphons, cyclops and so much more! The movie jumps from Philadelphia to Athens and more, exploring an expanded world for the heroes. Also, the action is cranked up to eleven as the threat is bigger than ever.
We also got another look at the updated costumes and how the family has turned the Rock of Eternity into their own personalized lair!
