One of the most exciting aspects regarding the Marvel Cinematic Universe are their Avengers team-up films. The first Avengers movie, released in 2012, was an exciting spectacle that brought together all of the MCU’s superheroes introduced by that point. Of course, the franchise has expanded quite exponentially since then. This has resulted in a number of much bigger Avengers films like Avengers: Age of Ultron and more notably Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Now we’ll finally be getting two more Avengers films – both of which are scheduled for 2025.
It was previously suggested that Avengers: Endgame was something of a final team-up film. After all, it did close most of the storylines introduced in what’s been called the Infinity Saga. But, as the MCU continues, so too has its various storylines. This means that a new saga is in the making – and it looks like we now know what it’s building towards. And, based on the new titles for the 2025 Avengers films, it will be quite massive.

As fans who’ve been paying attention to the MCU with its latest phase know – there are two big storylines that they’ve been introducing. One of which includes the villain Kang the Conqueror. This is a character that’s been teased in such projects as the Loki Disney Plus series. Now it looks like he’ll eventually be the main focus for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. With a title like that, fans know they’ll be in for something special. Similarly, however, the second Avengers film to be announced also appears to be quite special.
This film is none other than Avengers: Secret Wars. As one might imagine, the film appears to be an adaptation of the comic book storyline of the same name. This storyline is rather important because it focuses on all of the Multiverse subplots that the MCU has been gradually introducing. After films like Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness showed what the Multiverse is capable of, one can only imagine what an Avengers film will do with that concept.
With that in mind, it looks like fans have plenty to look forward to. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for additional updates as we have them.
