The Star Wars franchise has been gradually branching off into a variety of new shows for Disney Plus. Many of these projects have branched off as a result of The Mandalorian, the first live-action Star Wars series and one so popular that it proved to be a viable format. Now one such upcoming spin-off is Ahsoka, a new series which will be focused on the titular character first introduced in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Fans have been anxious to see how this new series will handle the beloved character. And now we have somewhat of an idea – thanks to a newly leaked Ahsoka trailer from Star Wars Celebration 2022.
Fans have been spreading footage from the leaked Ahsoka trailer via social media. The images do line up with descriptions that were released after the trailer was first shown at Star Wars Celebration 2022. This includes our first look at such Star Wars characters as Hera Syndulla and C1-10P aka Chopper in their new live-action forms.
There’s also an image of a mural painted by Sabine Wren, which is fittingly portrayed in the same artistic style as the Rebels animated series.
Here’s the leaked footage:

Of course, we still don’t have many other details at this point. It’s expected that the series will be following the adventures of Ahsoka as she attempts to track down the whereabouts of Grand Admiral Thrawn and Ezra Bridger.
The new series Ahsoka will star Rosario Dawson as the titular character. She previously played Ahsoka Tano in the Disney Plus shows The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. Natasha Liu Bordizzo has been cast as the character Sabine Wren, who was previously only seen in the animated series Star Wars: Rebels.
It’s expected that the Disney Plus series Ahsoka will be landing on the streaming service at some point in 2023. As such, fans can stay tuned to ScreenGeek for additional updates as we have them.
