Fans have waited years for Kevin Smith to get his direct follow-up to the 2006 film Clerks II off the ground. After years of false starts, it finally entered production last year. Now fans will soon be able to experience Clerks III. If you don’t believe it, a brand-new trailer for Clerks III has been released by Lionsgate. Yes, the film is coming this year for real, and the trailer is proof of that.
Fans can experience the return of not only the iconic Quick Stop location – but so many familiar fan favorite characters as well. After many of these characters were missing from the 2019 film Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, it’s nice to see so many other familiar faces come back for this entry.
Most importantly, the film features the return of Jeff Anderson as Randal Graves, who was missing from the aforementioned reboot. Now this new Clerks entry puts more focus on his character than ever before.

It’s definitely an exciting moment to see that this film is not only finally happening – but that we’re closer to the release than ever before. This trailer is definitely a great sign for all of the fans who’ve been waiting years for this moment.
Kevin Smith wrote and directed Clerks III, the sequel to the original two 1994 and 2006 Clerks films. It is also the ninth film set within the View Askewniverse – a franchise of films tied together by shared characters, locations, and events.
The cast for the film includes Brian O’Halloran as Dante Hicks, Jeff Anderson as Randal Graves, Marilyn Ghigliotti as Veronica Loughran, Rosario Dawson as Becky Scott, and Trevor Fehrman as Elias Grover. Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith will also be back as their iconic characters Jay and Silent Bob, respectively.
Clerks III will be released this year following a series of screenings held on tour by Kevin Smith.
