As is expected, the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film Thor: Love and Thunder will come with a post-credits scene attached. Unexpectedly, however, it appears that a description for the post-credits scene for the film has leaked online. While this should be taken with a grain of salt, there are a number of separate sources which have shared the same similar details when describing the scene.
As such, be warned, there are major potential spoilers below.
Now, as one might imagine, the post-credits scene actually introduces a new character to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This character, exciting enough, will apparently be going on the hunt for Thor. Naturally, this seems to indicate that we can expect yet another Thor movie or project at some point in the future.
Here’s how the scene has been described by one particular Twitter user:
“Brett Goldstein from Ted Lasso will appear as Hercules in a Thor 4 post credit scene, after being sent to kill Thor by a pissed off Zeus!!!”
As noted above, several other sources have claimed that Brett Goldstein will be appearing as Hercules during the Thor: Love and Thunder post-credits scene. This certainly sounds like an exciting setup for whatever will come next in the Thor franchise. It also indicates that Zeus, played by Russell Crowe, will have recovered by this point in time. His character seems to want humans to care about the gods again as opposed to superheroes – and sets Hercules off on his quest to get vengeance against Thor. This should then spark a comic book battle that fans have been eager to see on the big screen for ages.
Taika Waititi directed Thor: Love and Thunder from a script he wrote with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson.
Thor: Love and Thunder has a cast that includes Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, and Christian Bale. The film also features Chris Pratt, Jaimie Alexander, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Jeff Goldblum, and Vin Diesel.
Fans will be able to see the highly-anticipated MCU film Thor: Love and Thunder when it hits theaters on July 8, 2022.
