It’s always an exciting time when a new horror movie is on the way. While horror fans are accustomed to franchises with new sequels or reboots every year, there’s always that original property which tends to surprise audiences. It appears that this year’s upcoming film Smile might just be that property.
You can see a new trailer released by Paramount for the film down below. Luckily, fans won’t have much longer to wait before the film is released. It will be hitting theaters this September. As such, the movie will be released at a perfect time for the Halloween season. And considering it’s a new property, it’ll be neat to see how the movie pans out.
Here’s the trailer:
Hopefully the actual movie will live up to the trailer. There’s certainly a lot to process and it looks like an eerie setup for a new horror movie. It’s especially interesting to see that characters only have a few days left before they’re apparently killed. It’s a great concept that has kept many horror films and stories very fascinating and suspenseful over the years. So let’s see if Smile will be a worthwhile addition to the popular subgenre. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
As for the plot of the new film…
“After witnessing a bizarre, traumatic incident involving a patient, Dr. Rose Cotter (Sosie Bacon) starts experiencing frightening occurrences that she can’t explain. As an overwhelming terror begins taking over her life, Rose must confront her troubling past in order to survive and escape her horrifying new reality.”
Paramount Players’ new horror film Smile will be available exclusively to theaters starting September 30. Because the film is a Paramount Players release, however, it’s expected that it could be streaming sooner rather than later. As such, fans can stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any updates as we have them.
