Aquaman actress Amber Heard recently lost the lawsuit between her and ex-husband actor Johnny Depp. The two have been alleging one another of domestic abuse, and as settled by the jury, they found that Heard defamed Johnny Depp as a result. Now it appears that in a new interview she might’ve just done it a second time.
This particular interview took place for NBC Dateline, in which Savannah Guthrie had a discussion with Amber Heard. The two discussed the court trial that’s become a massive online sensation. And, according to Amber Heard, she has her own reasons for why she lost. But she also suggests that she isn’t the only woman that Johnny Depp has abused.
Interviewer Savannah Guthrie asked Amber Heard why she happened to be the only person to accuse Johnny Depp of domestic abuse. It’s Amber Heard’s response that might’ve just defamed Johnny Depp yet again.
She answered:
“Look what happened to me when I came forward, would you?”
This is certainly an interesting response. While many viewers felt that the legal debacle between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard would’ve finished with the most recent court case, that appears to not be the case. Amber Heard not only intends to appeal the verdict but she clearly plans on trying to talk as much about her feelings with the media as she can in the meantime. But considering how public opinion has mostly swayed in favor of Johnny Depp, it’s unclear how well people are going to listen.
As of this writing, Amber Heard still appears to be attached to star in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. However, there are conflicting reports that her scenes for the film have either been cut down or removed entirely. It seems likely that Warner Bros is testing the waters before potentially removing her altogether. As such, fans can stay tuned to ScreenGeek for more updates as we have them.
