With so many films and shows in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there’s no telling when a familiar character might pop up. It’s one of the joys of keeping up with all of the different projects – you never know when something set up in an earlier work might pay off. Well, for fans that have been keeping up with the Captain America side of things, it looks like a familiar villain might be returning sooner than you’d think. Actor Georges St-Pierre has teased that his character Batroc the Leaper, last seen in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, will be back in the MCU.
As noted in the below interview with Sherdog, Georges St-Pierre seems confident that he’ll be returning to the MCU. This might be somewhat surprising for fans that thought he was killed off during the events of the Disney Plus series. But St-Pierre isn’t holding anything back. In fact, it sounds like his character will be stronger than ever.
Here’s what he had to say:
“[Batroc’s] gonna come back 100 percent,” he revealed. “He always comes in and out of things, you know what I mean? He’s gonna come back with a vengeance next time for sure. He’s gonna bring his brigade and he’s gonna be angry.”
While it’s unknown where the character might make this supposed return, there are plenty of films and shows on the way to do so. This also includes the highly-anticipated Captain America 4 with Anthony Mackie. As such, stay tuned to ScreenGeek for more updates on that front as we have them.
If fans missed out on Batroc’s most recent appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, have no fear. All six episodes of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier are currently available to watch on Disney Plus. Fans can also watch Captain America: The Winter Soldier for the character’s first appearance in the MCU on the same streaming service.
