The all-new Twisted Metal series from Peacock appears to be coming along nicely. We’ve already had some exciting casting announcements, including the involvement of Neve Campbell, but now we know who will be playing Sweet Tooth. It appears that Samoa Joe will be playing the Twisted Metal character alongside Will Arnett who will be providing the voice of Sweet Tooth.

This information comes via Deadline. Other than revealing that Samoa Joe will be playing Sweet Tooth alongside Will Arnett on vocal duties, they revealed the cast members for three recurring characters as well.

    As they’ve first revealed:

“AEW’s Joe Seanoa a.k.a Samoa Joe is set to play the dual role of Sweet Tooth voiced by Will Arnett in Peacock’s Twisted Metal.”

They further continued to describe the character:

“Sweet Tooth is described as a hilarious and terrifying hulk of a man, who is as emotional as he is cunning. A lover of chaos, this majestic rage-filled killer dons an ever-smiling clown mask and uses “Lost Vegas” as his own personal kill-ground, all while he drives his infamous doomsday ice cream truck.”

It was then revealed that Mike Mitchell, Tahj Vaughans, and Lou Beatty Jr. are attached to the Peacock project as recurring characters. Their characters have been described as follows:

“Mitchell will portray Stu, Mike’s best friend, the Rosencrantz & Guildenstern of this world, and together often find themselves to be more followers than fighters.

Vaughans will portray Mike, Stu’s best friend, the Rosencrantz & Guildenstern of this world, and together often find themselves to be more followers than fighters.

Beatty Jr. will portray Tommy, a grizzled and weathered cartographer who knows the dangers of the Wild Midwest.”

The upcoming series is based on an original take by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Michael Jonathan Smith (“Cobra Kai”) is on board to write and act as showrunner for Twisted Metal. Will Arnett and Marc Forman are executive producing. Kitao Sakurai is attached to direct several episodes of the upcoming show. Twisted Metal is co-produced by Sony Pictures Television, PlayStation Productions and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.

The cast also includes Neve Campbell, Thomas Hayden Church, and Richard Cabral.

Hopefully we’ll have more details on this upcoming series soon. As such, fans can stay tuned to ScreenGeek for more updates as we have them.
