The 1988 fantasy film Willow has only grown in popularity over the decades. Many fans have hoped that the film would one day spawn a sequel. Now, after years of waiting, that continuation is finally happening – in the form of a Disney Plus series. The new show will so far consist of eight episodes and follow a storyline in which a princess must rescue her twin brother. In order to do so, she assembles a rescue party. Now fans can see the first teaser trailer for the upcoming Willow series.
The series first entered production as far back as 2020. After several years of development, production, and delays, it was finally announced that Willow would be released via Disney Plus this year. Now that the first trailer trailer has been unveiled, it’s likely only a matter of time before fans get more glimpses at the upcoming show. It’s definitely been a long time coming.

It’s great to see that not only is this Disney Plus series finally happening, but that it will be an official continuation of the original film. It seemed quite unlikely for years that a sequel to Willow would ever come to fruition. Especially after the many false starts and issues over the years. But this trailer proves for fans that the story of Willow will finally be continued, and we’ll get to see it this November. Warwick Davis will return as the titular character Willow Ufgood. The rest of the main cast includes Erin Kellyman, Ellie Bamber, Tony Revolori, Ruby Cruz, Amer Chadha-Patel, Dempsey Bryk, and Talisa Garcia. Rosabell Laurenti Sellers and Ralph Ineson have also joined the cast of the series.
Fans will be able to stream Willow via Disney Plus on November 30.
