The newly-released superhero film The Batman has been a massive success with both critics and fans. Now that the film has arrived on digital streaming platforms, many fans are either watching the film for the first time or giving it another watch. As such, new details are being discovered daily. Now director Matt Reeves has revealed one such interesting detail himself, one that everyone else seems to have missed. According to him, there’s actually a secret appearance made by The Riddler during one scene of The Batman.
This was confirmed by Matt Reeves when a fan pointed out the seemingly secret appearance made by Paul Dano’s Riddler. As you can see below, the moment occurred about 30 minutes into the film, where Paul Dano’s silhouette as The Riddler can be seen in a window from the upper left corner.
As you can see below:
Indeed, I can confirm. 100% https://t.co/bryYms9t0x

While this is an exciting visual for eagle-eyed fans, it also makes a lot of sense within the context of the film. It appears that Riddler has been spying on the Iceberg Lounge, a criminal hotspot ran by none other than Colin Farrell’s character The Penguin. Because Zoe Kravitz’s Catwoman character also worked at this location, it seems that this window was the perfect spot for Riddler to keep his eyes on everyone. It certainly fits the character and the overall noir style created by director Matt Reeves.
As such, it’ll be exciting for fans who are watching the film for the first time or giving it another watch to see what other details are hidden in plain sight. Now that the film is more publicly available, it should be only a matter of time before more subtle details rise to the surface. As such, fans can stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any other updates on The Batman as we have them.
Fans can currently stream The Batman on HBO Max.
