Johnny Depp’s lawsuit against his ex-wife Amber Heard has been taking some interesting turns. Now in Depp’s new testimony, the actor testified in-depth regarding his relationship with Amber Heard and how his “goal is the truth.”
As shared via CNN, Johnny Depp insists in his testimony that he never “struck any woman” in his life. This is a direct response to Amber Heard’s allegations, in which she alleged Johnny Depp would inflict domestic violence and physically abuse her.
Specifically, Johnny Depp said the following after acknowledging that he and Amber Heard had many arguments throughout their relationship:
“Never did I myself reach the point of striking Ms. Heard in any way nor have I ever struck any woman in my life.”
Johnny Depp also discussed what it was like after Amber Heard’s allegations seemed to have taken away his career.
“One day you’re Cinderella so to speak and then in zero point six seconds you’re Quasimodo,” Depp said. “I didn’t deserve that and nor did my children, nor did the people who had believed in me all these years.”
Johnny Depp also discussed the beginning of his relationship with Amber Heard while he testified.
“From what I recall, what I remember, she was too good to be true.”
“She was attentive, she was loving, she was smart, she was kind, she was funny, she was understanding. We had many things in common,” he said.
While he insists that Amber Heard was “wonderful” in the beginning, that soon began to change.
“Then things just started to change — or things started to reveal themselves, is a better way to put it.”
This particular statement seems to sum up things pretty nicely, as things are still revealing themselves as these various lawsuits and allegations continue. Indeed, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have given their fans quite the insight into their private lives. As such, we’ll continue to see more as the current lawsuit continues.
