After an excruciatingly long wait, the first trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder has finally arrived. With its release, fans have finally been granted a look at all sorts of characters both new and familiar. One such character is Zeus, and he’ll be played by none other than Russell Crowe.
While the trailer for the upcoming film doesn’t reveal a clear frontal shot of Russell Crowe as Zeus, we do see the character from behind. He seems to be residing over Olympus, and he’s even holding one of his signature lightning bolts.
It’s an interesting look which you can see below:

Furthermore, the trailer goes on to show fans what Olympus itself looks like within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This is a first for the ever-growing Marvel franchise, and with a statue of Zeus front and center, it’s going to be exciting seeing what else is in store. Of course, with Gorr the God Butcher not far behind, it might not be a pretty sight for long.
At the very least, we also get to see a look at what appears to be Zeus’ domain and an entrance to his throne room. But as is the case with Olympus itself, it seems likely that Gorr the God Butcher might be making a mess of all these beautiful views. Of course, fans will still have to wait until the film hits theaters in just a few months to know for sure what’s about to go down.
Taika Waititi directed Thor: Love and Thunder from a script he wrote with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson.
Thor: Love and Thunder has a cast that includes Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, and Christian Bale. The film also features Chris Pratt, Jaimie Alexander, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Jeff Goldblum, and Vin Diesel.
Fans will be able to see the highly-anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe film Thor: Love and Thunder on July 8, 2022.
